My Review on SuperStay 24 Lipcolor from Maybelline New York

I purchased this lipstick and here's my review on it.
  • Positive - Love the application of this stain.  The brush that is along with this lipstick is flexible in both ways so when the applications of the lip stain is applied, it is dispersed evenly and in one stroke.
Negative - Doesn't look like there is a lot of product within the tube.  One side is the stain and the other side is the moisturizer you apply and reapply throughout the day.  Being that I had to apply the moisturizer several times, I can see that this product will not last very long.
Positive - I was able to drink my coffee without the lipstick all over the cup :)
  • Positive - The color did stay on quite awhile and didn't flake off like some stains do.  You did have to apply some sort of a gloss throughout the day to enhance the moisture to your lips.

Negative - Noted 24-hour color that should last that long?  As usual with most of the lip stains I've used, it did NOT last as promoted.

τhε сøɾɾεсτ ώαÿ τø ɾεṃøṿε εÿε ṃαќε-υρ

I see so many people removing their make up incorrectly.  I know a lot of us get really lazy when it comes to removing our eye makeup.  Just swiping it roughly across their eyes until all the makeup is removed is NOT the way to do it.  You do realize the thinnest most delicate skin area on our face is under our eyes, right?  It is the one area you should be very gentle with.  And being that we usually have a lot of make up on our eyes, we tend to abuse that area which in the end will cause more lines and unwanted saggy skin.

My preference for make-up removal are these Non-woven wipes (shown above) - A smooth blend of fibers, this wipe provides a high degree of absorbency in a lint-free non woven design. Opens from a 4-ply to a 4 x 4 single-ply. 200 per package. They are inexpensive and absorb just enough to where you are NOT wasting product. Cotton squares absorb too much and you end up applying more product to get your make up off; therefore wasting it. You will not find these within any department stores. They are sold for professional use only so if anyone wants some, let me know and I can place an order for you.  They are very inexpensive!  What I like most about it is that the way they are woven seem to catch the make up much better.

I found a great video demonstrating the best way to remove your eye makeup. What I want you to pay most attention to is how she places the cotton wipe underneath her eyes. The main purpose of this is to avoid additional friction to that very thin area of the eye.

Realize that for the average daily make up application, it shouldn't take as long to remove the eye makeup.

Don't know how to wear your make-up for that special Valentine evening..... Or an upcoming date with that someone special? Adorable Jessica Harlow shows a tutorial that's a must try! You don't have to specifically use the eyeshadow colors that she has picked; however are beautiful. You can pull out your eyeshadow drawer and put together a light, medium and dark combination that you like best. Remember choose a combination  that will match your outfit and the color of your eyes.

I especially like the way the white liner is used along the inner corner of the eyes.

8 oz Organic Clarifying Daily Detox Facial Scrub Helps clear acne, keeps skin clearReceived my package from Green Visions Energy & Spa Essentials containing Organic Clarifying Daily Detox Facial Scrub.  I requested the detox facial scrub for some of my clients that suffer from acne.  I gave my client a sample of this product and she loves it so much that every time I see her she talks about how wonderful this product has been on her skin.  Not to mention she has also ordered her own supply of it.

I started using the product the other day because I had a few pimples pop up (Whaaaa, me?).  Green Visions was nice enough to send along a couple of samples of their Detox Cleanser, Green Zit Zapper Natural Acne Sport Treatment and Refreshing Organic Facial Mist Toner.  I took advantage of using all of it to see my results.  First off, all the items smell remarkably fragrant with a citrus scent to it ~ loved it ~ and I'm sensitive to highly fragranced items but this actually was more of a revitalizing scent.  So my ending result....... as much as I preach DO NOT TOUCH your face; I found myself touching my skin because of how soft this product has made my skin feel.  Loved my ending results and now I see why my client was in awe with it every time we spoke.

Here's my nightly regimen using Green Visions Clarifying Product:

  1. I used about a dime size of the Detox Cleanser creating a foaming action with my wet hands and spread it all over my face.  I then used my Clarisonic Brush to do a full gentle facial scrub to lather up the soap even further insuring that it is infused while cleansing.   Rinse well.
  2. I took about a quarter size of the Daily Detox Facial Scrub and gently massaged in (I only recommend a scrub being used 1-3 times per week, however, I can tell you that this scrub is one you can use on a nightly basis.)  Make sure to avoid the eye area.
  3. Toned the Refreshing Organic Facial Mist Toner
  4. Spot treated my acne with Natural Acne Sport Treatment.
  5. Moisturized with my Night & Eye cream that I use regularly.
The product is amazing. Your skin will feel incredibly soft and very well cleansed.  Considering what people pay for behind the counter skin care that has a lot of chemicals within it's product, this is a fraction of that cost and it's made of all natural ingredients.

Order it today.  When my client ordered her product, Green Visions was nice enough to also send her some samples of its other products.

★ МÚŚŤ ŔĔĂĎ ★ INSPIRING STORY - 655lbs to under 290lbs - all тнrυ a cнange oғ lιғeѕтyle!

Steve has an amazing story.  Imagine walking into a gym at 655lbs.  It takes a lot to do just that; and that in itself is a success.  I've seen Steve at his starting point a few years ago, and today, I see Steve daily at the gym still devoted to his new lifestyle.  He looks fabulous and is MY INSPIRATION; he's everyone’s inspiration!

He’s devoted to his HEALTH; eating right, working out and working with his trainer who has taught him a change in lifestyle.   I heard him say to a member one day:
If I can do it, anyone can do it… there are no excuses.  You just have to do it.
He is so right.  It’s mind over matter.  You have to set your priorities straight.  If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take of others.

I read a book recently that gave a perfect analogy: “What if you are given one car in your lifetime and that’s all that you were allowed.  How would you treat that car?  You’d keep it clean, make sure the services are kept up to date; tires are in good shape, etc.  You’re not going to get another one so you’re going to make sure that car runs as long as you can help it to.”  Well think about that ….. This goes for your body.  You only get one body to live within so you need to make sure you take care of it today and everyday because you’re not going to get another one.

Now that you have read this and heard Steve’s story, I want to see all of you that have been procrastinating on changing your lifestyle to a healthy one, START NOW.  Here are a few things you can do to make it happen.
  1. Seek a gym close by and see if they have a pass to try it out.  Here is a FREE PASS for a 24 Hour Fitness (there are 450 clubs across the States, sure to be one close to you.)
  2. Pull out a calendar that has hours of the day within it.  Here is a printable one you can start with
  3. Put your schedule on this to include family commitments, work, social etc etc
  4. Now figure out a time you can put one hour workout (at least 3-5 times per week) within that.  Put this at the top of your priority list because you have to do it.  NO PROCRASTINATING.
a.      Your gym may have some classes that you want to attend.  Classes are great because there is a set time that you have to be there by and there is an instructor motivating you throughout this class.
b.      If you are unsure of how to work equipment or what type of workout regimen to do, well then hire yourself a personal trainer.  Personal Trainers are well worth your beginning of a new lifestyle; and let me tell you the ending results I’ve seen with members within the club show me just how much of a value a trainer really is.

What can a personal trainer do for you?

A trainer will help you start your program by looking at your body type and your fitness level in order to start you on a program that will give you the most benefits.
They will be able to monitor your progress and will also help you move past any plateaus that you may reach. Because they are experts in their field, they can help you with a total fitness routine that may include changing the way you eat, the exercises you are doing and even the amount of exercise that you are doing.
Using a trainer will also help to keep you motivated. Gone are the days where you just choose not to workout, or you call your friend with an excuse not to head into the gym. If you find your motivation dwindling away, talk to your trainer because they can help you to work past the problems and find new ways to keep you reaching for your goal.
Without a trainer, you run the risk of using equipment or completing exercise movements incorrectly. Often, if exercises are not done properly, the value of the exercise is diminished. This means that you may find yourself working out without seeing as much benefit as you should. Incorrect exercises could also lead to muscle strains or injuries.

When you are looking for a trainer, keep the following things in mind.

1.      Is the trainer certified?
2.      How long have they been a trainer and what type of experience do they have?
3.      Do they have references?
4.      Is there a written contract?
5.      Is there a cancellation policy?
6.      Do you like the trainer?
7.      Are they empathetic with your psychological state?
8.      Can they adapt the workouts to your situation (injuries, fitness level, etc)?

Staple Item - BABY WIPES?

ShareYou are probably wondering why I'm posting this on an Esthetican's Blog.  Well Baby Wipes are now what I call "A Household Staple Item."  I keep it everywhere!  I have my girlfriend, Holly, to thank for that.  I came over to her house and she had a boatload of baby wipes and her kids were all in their teens.  I had to start wondering if she was OK in the head until she explained her many uses of the "BABY WIPE."  Thus is why the BABY WIPE is now a staple item in my home.
I buy my baby wipes in bulk from Costco and it lasts me a very long time.
  1. Remove makeup – Baby wipes are a gentle, refreshing way to remove makeup, leaving your face feeling refreshed. They are especially handy for this when you’re traveling and don’t want to pack extra cleansers and cosmetics. (EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER, sometimes you need to have something a little stronger to remove your eye-make up, I use Pond's Cold Cream on my eyes and then remove it with a baby wipe.  Has been the easiest make-up remover to date and my eyes feel totally refreshed.)
  2. Stain remover – If you spilled your food or drink on clothes, furniture or the carpet, don’t despair. Baby wipes work wonderfully to remove stains. Just take one from the box and dab the stain until the stain is lifted. Best of all, no smelly sprays or harmful chemicals were used to clean up!
  3. When unable to take a shower or even a sponge bath, baby wipes are a fast and easy way to freshen up. Of course, nothing beats a shower but in a pinch, baby wipes do help.
  4. Remove crayon from walls – If your budding Rembrandt got creative all over your living room wall, don’t buy expensive chemicals. Erase the crayon with a baby wipe.
  5. Remove stray hairs from pets – If your shaggy pet is shedding all over your carpet, give him a daily rubdown with a baby wipe. This will remove all the excess hair and keep it off the furniture and rugs.
  6. Remove deodorant stains – If you’ve ever been late for work because you have to change your clothes after they’ve become stained with unsightly deodorant marks, you’ll appreciate this one. Baby wipes remove the white marks left behind by most deodorants. Just wipe and you’re on your way.
  7. A scrap booker’s best friend – If you’re into scrap booking, baby wipes are an important tool. Baby wipes will clean off your rubber stamps and have them looking like new. In addition, they’re great for cleaning glue and ink off the hands.
  8. Shine your shoes – Use baby wipes to clean and shine your leather shoes so they’ll sparkle.
  9. Remove telltale lipstick from the collar – Thanks to baby wipes, no one has to know your business but you and your significant other. If you’ve mistakenly gotten lipstick on your clothing, gently rub the stain with a baby wipe until the lipstick disappears.
  10. Keep a box in the car – Use them to clean spills, wipe windows, clean the upholstery and dashboard, and to keep children clean after snacks on a long car ride.
  11. Dust – Use to dust televisions, stereos, remote controls, other appliances and items around the house where dust accumulates due to static electricity.
  12. Shine your shower – and your bathtub too! Use wipes after each shower to remove soap scum and prevent future buildup.
  13. Remove scuff marks – Can’t get those scuff marks off your floors? Give them a wipe. You may need a little elbow grease but those nasty little black marks will be gone in no time.
  14. Is your floor a sticky mess? Once again, baby wipes to the rescue. If spilled soda or sticky food is making it hard to walk in your kitchen, give them a wipe.
  15. Remove marks made by a felt tip pen or marker – If you act quickly, you can use a baby wipe to remove marker stains before they set in and make a permanent stain.
